Four years ago we transitioned our rewards program to an app-based format. Not only did this allow our loyal customers to access and redeem points using their phones (without worrying about losing or washing paper punch-cards), but it also allowed our customers to save points for larger rewards like whole bean and swag while allowing us to send mini-discounts for special occasions, as well as just to say thanks for being a loyal customer.

However, behind the scenes, management of the app-based loyalty program was not without its difficulties. Over the past four years responsibility for maintaining the app’s software was passed between multiple companies through corporate acquisitions and partnerships beyond our control. Whenever these transitions occurred, our number one priority was always to minimize the inconvenience they would place on our loyal customers. Yet, with this said, earlier this month we were informed by the company currently responsible for our app that they would be discontinuing the program through which it is provided and maintained.

Unfortunately, what this means is that we are required to discontinue our current loyalty program and the Coffee Hound App. As of August 1st 2018, the Coffee Hound App will no longer be supported by the company currently responsible for servicing it, and, in effect, you will no longer be able to redeem points through the Coffee Hound App.

Please know we are currently working to develop a new loyalty program, but, in the meantime, we urge you to redeem your points prior to August 1, 2018. Additionally, as of July 5, 2018 we will no longer be providing QR codes for people to earn additional points.
